Question Is RCS really effective in a place where the majority are iPhone users?

I know not everybody cares, and I won't force people to agree with me. Does RCS make sense in a place full of Iphones? I get RCS is supposed to be like iMessage with more convenient features, but for Androids mainly despite Google pushing for Apple to adopt it. Some people I know just resort to Signal/WhatsApp or any other third party app just to not use the SMS route, but in a place full of iPhones, I question the point of it.

Android is available in markets where it is the main device so RCS does work in places like the UK and India and Africa. It is good for Google to see past the USA and it's needs to the needs of its majority market.

I think what Google doing with RCS is pretty good and if they keep updating and adding features this will work , it has encryption and reactions with iphone users just hope Google doesn't abandon it .

Well, it works when it works... which in my experience is about half of the time lol.

I tend to be quite lucky with it. Sometimes it doesn't work with my mum but most everyone else it seems to. Am on O2 UK

I've definitely seen more and more of my friends/colleagues over the past few years who show up dark blue in Google Messages (meaning that they have RCS active). My iPhone friends can just eat my green bubble dust.
