if so, i'll just send it back and live with the defects my phone has now.

ummm. i didn't ask about the new 2.3. it's been rooted since the day it came out.

i asked about the hboot.

just as well i guess. this refurb sucks.

it keeps bringing up some damned hands free activation. and freezes the screen.
and there's no option for mounting as disk drive.

i see the evo 3d has permanent root now. now if i can just figure out how to get an upgrade.
