Is Samsung Always So Stingy with Samsung Pay Rewards?

With 20,000 rewards points, I went to check out what I could get from Samsung and was surprised to see in pretty much every case I'd be better off cashing in the reward points for cash and just buying the Samsung products offered from Amazon.
Is this always going to be the case or does Samsung ever offer deals? (Seems sort of silly to value Samsung gear at full retail--kind of defeats the whole point of the rewards system.)

Is a pretty limited selection of Rewards, but I prefer cash thank you
I'm at about 13,000 points right now

Every now and then there will be a deal, but your best bet is usually going to be cash. I'm fine with that though.

I just redeem for Best Buy gift cards :)

For 20,000 points you can redeem up to $80 Best Buy gift cards!

I just got a $50 gift card . stingy you say the gifts are free . you use sasmsung pay like you use cash that you'd be spending anyway .

Well, yeah. But buying a ridiculously expensive (and great) phone confers on me the right to feel entitled, so there.

In the future you might consider getting the $100 Samsung Rewards card for 20,000 points, then you have $20 more and can use it almost anywhere.

Agree. S.P. and Bixby Points are far far over rated. If they even had a clue...

What exactly do we need a clue for? I basically get paid for using something that I'd be using even if they didn't give points. Yep, that sounds pretty stupid to me.

Man i been spending the points on winning prizes. I did win twice but nothing worth mentioning. I was hoping to win a tv or laptop/printer combo

Yes. We used to get more for our points. I got a bunch of wireless chargers thanks to the early adoption. I use Samsung Pay everywhere and bought Destiny 2 with gamestop gift cards.

Sprint users can get a $25 Best Buy card for 4k points, that's what I did to use toward the new Gear Sport watch.

Entitled to what exactly? You can sell your ridiculously expensive (and great) phone, use the money to get a cheap (and not so great) phone. You'll still be using your debit and credit cards to pay the your stuff and not get those "stingy " rewards you complained about.
