Actually RCS isn't big here in the US either (yet). I have over 100 txt chats going, and last time I checked I only saw 2 with chat features, and I guarantee they don't even know they have it. I don't think most people notice or even care.My note 10 plus is the uk unlocked 4G version that has the chat feature which I am surprised about because RCS hasn't been a big thing over here like it is in the US
Really? Wow, maybe it should be advertised more to get more interest in itActually RCS isn't big here in the US either (yet). Most people in the US don't really care about that kind of stuff. Send a video to grandma? Meh, I'll just Skype or Face Time with her.Really? Wow, maybe it should be advertised more to get more interest in it![]()
RCS was rolled out in the UK and France last summer as a test. We got it months before the USA.My note 10 plus is the uk unlocked 4G version that has the chat feature which I am surprised about because RCS hasn't been a big thing over here like it is in the US
Me too.I'm with you on that , I do prefer Samsung message also
Until iPhones get it, I certainly have little interest in it. I can literally only think of one person I text who is not on an iPhone. Most people in the US don't really care about that kind of stuff. Send a video to grandma? Meh, I'll just Skype or Face Time with her.
I have mixed friends and family on iPhones and Android some text regular other through soc media and even my iPhone x when I text other iPhone users they have read receipts off lol defeats that so I leave mine off on iMessage also ..Until iPhones get it, I certainly have little interest in it. I agree ..It's doubtful to me if Apple is gonna support RCS. They really have no reason to.
I agree ..
I don't see that even changing Apple's mind .If carriers completely turn off regular SMS once they get their version of RCS out is the only reason I can see Apple caring about supporting it.
Yes your right the UK and France did get the initial roll out in the summer but that was only on Google messages and for certain carriers, I never had it on my note until I upgraded to android 10 a couple of days ago.RCS was rolled out in the UK and France last summer as a test. We see what happens .If SMS/MMS goes away, I cannot see Apple not supporting RCS. Only way I'd see them not supporting it is if they made iMessage available to Android, and I see that as much less likely. Personally I just wish everybody used WhatsApp in the US like they do in Europe.

I agree there , I'm talking about RCA chat kicking off on Android if apple will do this with Google to support it .Just can't see them telling their users they're no longer going to be able to text their friends with Androids.
