Is sprint going to expand wimax at all? Or am I stuck on 3G?

Hey I wanted to get anyone's opinion on whether sprint is going to consider or even try expanding wimax more. I live nowhere close to a wimax location and I was hoping to get it one day. Should I just give up hope on that?

Nope, no more expansion for wimax, you will have to bite the bullet and get a new phone if you want 4G in the future.

WiMax is done for better or worse, and no further expansion is planned. In fact, it will be completely turned off in a few years. In order to get 4G on Sprint in your area, you'll have to upgrade to an LTE enabled device once LTE is available there.

July 2014 it will be gone. That gives the new contracts time to satisfy.

Well crap lol... I love this phone. Hopefully they vamp up their 3g soon. And have an appealing phone two years from now
