Is that safe to install latest N beta on my 6P?

I've only noticed issues with two apps: HBO GO doesn't work at all, which isn't a big deal. Hangouts will often go into a crashing loop that requires a restart to resolve. Kind of a bummer, but not enough to scare me away. Pretty much daily driver material.

I use OneNote for work (I have a Surface 3 that I take hand written notes on in meetings) and found that OneNote doesn't work at all on the N beta. The app shows the launch screen but immediately fails. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help either.

OK. So I think I know why I'm not getting the beta ota. My 6p is not showing in the device manager, it was earlier but after clearing some caches and a few other attempts to get this to work, now it says I have no eligible devices and the device manager can't even locate my phone.
Any ideas?

Only major issue I've had has been battery life has been pretty bad compared to M. Android System taking up the biggest percentage. Other than that a few apps haven't worked but nothing important. I'll give it a couple weeks and see what happens, if it doesn't improve I'll do a factory reset. If it's still bad I'll go back to M.

Anyone having issues getting notifications on their smart watch (moto360 2nd Gen) after putting the beta on my N6P, when I say notifications I mean texts via hangouts and messager apps I still get phone calls but that's it.

If it matters to anyone ... I find that the Facebook app, updated on May 23, is kind of broken. I keep getting stuck on a blank screen and the only way the app goes back to normal is if I open a Facebook notification OR uninstall/reinstall the app.

Other than that, almost a week in and everything else seems to be working okay. Maybe I am dreaming but my battery seems to be doing better... But that might be because I haven't got around to putting back all the apps I had before.

I went back M after trying N twice. It's not as fast as MM on my phone, kinda glitchy too.

Is there any issue with installing the preview with an unlocked bootloader (unrooted stock build)?

As much as I like N on my phone it has messed up notifications with my smart watch and I use it a lot i'm going back to MM

The only major problems I've had are with the alarm clock and Google keyboard. I set 4 or 5 alarms spaced 5 to 10 minutes apart to get up in the morning, and ever since I switched to N the first alarm or 2 would go off fine, then the others would just never go off. The problem with the keyboard is that when I tap somewhere in the body of what I'm writing to edit a sentence, it will sometimes jump to a random space somewhere else when I backspace or add a new letter. In fact, It just did it right now and I had to fix it. The texting is a minor annoyance, and I'm just using a backup alarm, so I'm fine with it so far.

I have been enjoying Android N on my Nexus 6P since the day it was released without any issue. Now for the last two days i am enjoying the full potential of the Nexus 6P display by enabling developer option and setting the smallest width to 560 DPI under settings/developer/Drawing/ smallest width. It is really amazing. You can increase the font size to normal or large under accessibility settings

Signed up for the beta and have run it for about a week now. A few minor issues:

-Rocket Player is not properly playing two specific music tracks when I have wired headphones plugged it. Always the same two tracks. It plays the first 10 seconds, then stops. I have to press the power button to resume but as soon as the screen goes dark, the song stops. Tried both tracks on Google Music and it works fine. Tried restarting and clearing cache but the problem still exists.

-For the first two days, bluetooth worked fine and all my devices were running properly. On day three, all of my bluetooth devices were forgotten. I have a Moto 360 and couldn't get it recognized so I had to do a factory reset and pair it again.

-Battery life hasn't been as good as the May version of what was originally on my 6P. Not much worse, but noticeable, maybe 10-15% worse. On battery stats, my screen has always been the top battery consumer but over the past three days Android OS and Android System are the top two on the list (though only by 1-2% more than screen)

This was also a big issue for me. I heavily rely on multiple alarms to get me out of bed in the morning. For the most part, one alarm would go off for me then the rest would never come. I even had two incidents where non of the alarms would go off.

im having constant problems with news&weather app - which i dont even use - and whatsapp
both keep crashing and i get the notification to close, restart or send feedback.
in order to get whatsapp working again i have to go into app info and force close and manually start it again. this happens about once every 2 hours

Strange - I haven't had any problems with WhatsApp or the weather app crashing. No odd behavior at all really.

The new Xbox App can't update while on N. But that's the biggest issue I've seen so far.

I've noticed YouTube has issues playing videos although the audio plays at times. Also, the new Xbox SmartGlass can't install the update because it's not compatible.

Overall, I like N. But I may revert to Marshmallow tonight and wait for the final release. I mean, why not? N isn't improving my phone in any way to be honest. It does mess a few things up which I'd rather not deal with now.

Overall though, it's stable enough to run on a daily but has its quirks.

Edit: I reverted back to Marshmallow.
