Is the 2150 extended battery worth it?

When I picked up my gnex today they were selling 2 extended batts for 50 BOGO deal. I told them I'd pay 25 for 1 and they did it. But I'm contemplating rrturnin the extended battery for the spare+ charger. The ext battery kinda makes the original useless- what am I gonna do carry a second back plate also and its not easy to charge.:

I went with the charger and spare battery. I'm sure whatever issues there are with nfc and swapping batteries will be fixed soon enough. I'd rather pull off the cover and swap it out. Been using this phone all day so been a hog on the battery. Will see what real world battery life is tomorrow.

I'm basically leaving the extra battery in the charger in my car so when I'm roaming around through my day I can just swap a fully charged battery in my car while I'm going from A to B. The extended battery just isn't worth it.

The original battery works with the extended door cover, they are so close in size. I think popping the case on and off to change batteries daily will lead to grief, IMHO that cover and the locking tabs do not look that strong.

Perfect, thanks. It wouldn't be for daily use, but if I go to a sporting event or travel, it's much easier to keep an extra battery in my pocket and not have to worry about the 2nd door.

If you're struggling to make it through a 12 hour day on standard battery, the extended is only going to buy you another hour and a half anyway.

I went for the spare battery + charger. I'd rather have the option to swap batteries out and remain completely mobile while the other charges... than be forced to tether myself to a wall whenever the phone runs low. I have pockets. I can cope with carrying an extra battery if I foresee a long day.

Me too. I found out last night that the charger doubles as a desktop dock holds the phone in portrait or landscape orientation very nicely while charging. I now have a nice bedside dock. Using "Bedside" app that I have used before. Nice.

yes. I just got the battery for 26.00 and the difference in size is very small. I have the rubber matte finish case and it fits on fine

Because I cringe every time I take off and put on the case, I've decided to get an 8600mAh external battery charger that I can keep in my pocket. And I'll be able to charge other stuff, like my bluetooth headset.

I cant say for sure but most likely there is almost no bulk added to the phone. If it were hard saided I would say no way but I am guessing the silicone will just bow out instead of in.

Has anyone noticed that the vibration has changed with the extended battery? It sounds like there's something rattling now, as opposed to the whole device vibrating.

Go with extended, you can find a standalone charger easily, there are universals out right now that will work, but I am waiting for the ones that are form fitted, they sell them on ebay for the GSM version

I can't even find the extended on verizon's site.

I won't even get a case then. I would just go with a leather holster but can find those either

I'll be purchasing the spare battery with the charger myself. It seems more logical than buying the extended battery. Plus I don't have to worry about the case I got being too small.
