Is the Carbon Grey HTC 10 scratch resistant

Hi,

I had the HTC One M7 - (Black) and even though it was a metal phone it had a thin coating of black paint or something similar. After 1 year my keys had scratched away at the paint so much that it just made the back of the phone look ugly...

I was wondering if anyone can confirm whether the Carbon Grey HTC 10 will have the same coating of black paint? Because I would rather get the Silver one if the HTC 10 will indeed be silver with a top coat of black...

They all use a coating. It will never be raw metal because anodized metal gets scuffed super-easy. My grey M8 was extremely resistant to scratches but I recommend keeping your keys away from your phone (different pocket) if you don't want scratches.

The carbon grey A9 has been extremely scratch resistant

I cringe everytime I even think of people who put their phone in the same pocket as their keys. I know it has been said many times by many different people, but dedicate a pocket for your phone and that's that. My M7 was flawless after 30 months of use. It is that simple.

Phone in left pocket, keys in right pocket. That's the rule.

I too am right handed yet use my left hand for my phone, not sure why. I guess its from baseball, always catching with a glove in my left hand? I don't know. What I do know is that is one of the reasons I did not like the S7...darn back button.

I am the same way. That's the only real complaint with the s7 edge i had was the reversed back button. I hold the phone in my left hand also but I'm right handed. Lol

what if you carry a front pocket wallet?

I do that and it goes in the same pocket as the keys. But I do change it up with the wallet depending on what i am doing, so it goes either in that same front right pocket as the keys or to itself in a back pocket. I use a very slim wallet.

Front left pocket phone and right pocket keys + wallet. Never ever I'm crazy to put keys and phone in same pocket for whatever reason.
