Hi folks. I bought my gf a Nexus 7 WiFi (2013). I guess it came with 5.0.1. I told her not to update her software just yet - considering all the bad stuff I had heard about 5.0.2. I know the 5.1.1 is supposed to come OTA very soon (her update still shows 5.0.2. But the 5.1.1 still hasn't arrived. Should I wait a bit more? Or is the 5.0.2 required before she can update to 5.1.1? I've never owned a tablet myself or missed an update on my phone so I don't know what to do. Thanks guys!
Is the lollipop version 5.0.2 a pre-requisite for lollipop version 5.1.1?

It can take weeks sometimes to get the update to you device, I would give it sometime. I see it is available here AOSP click here.
