Is the Moto X still a good buy.

Do you guys think the Moto X is a good buy on a two year contract? It is cheaper than the GS4 and iPhone, which are twice as expensive on contract.

Do think the Moto X will be properly updated in the future?

Yes. Moto/Google have already announced that this phone WILL have 4.4 (which will make a fast phone even Faster) 100% certain 4.4 coming soon.

Is this a good phone for someone returning an to Android phone after a long stint on iOS?

The best! This was the first android phone EVER to make me NOT miss iOS at all. 4.7" screen that is big, yet can be used 1 handed with ease.

Not a big fan of sony phones. they are like LG. they both make Great phones but then have zero updates ever.

I have tried all the phones in my sig. I have the Note 3 (again) and still have the moto x. I am trying to decide between the two phones. The Note 3 is a beast. Awesome in every way but I still miss the moto x as my every day driver. I can't say which way I am going yet. Both phones ROCK. Today I'm 51/49 (moto/note) .. I miss my hands free, active screen notifications..
After you have the moto, you may never want anything else. I thought about hanging with the note 3 and going back moto x when the moto x2 comes out.
If I had to make a statement today it would be: The moto x is the best phone ever. specs don't mean crap. experience is what matters and moto x takes that to a new level.
