Is the Nexus 5X stable yet?

Hello all. I'm wondering if the 5x is stable enough for normal (read wifes of tech nerds) people yet. We are trying to get off installment plans and contracts, so I finally got my wife to agree to buying unlocked and Nexus. She'll be moving from a galaxy s6. I originally planned on the 6p, but the 5x would fit her hand better and is also costs less. What are your thoughts? Thanks all!

With the latest March update my 5X has become much more stable. My camera especially no longer has issues.

I also, out of curiosity, flashed the Android N preview. It's definitely not ready for normal people to use. I absolutely love the new features and the direction Google is taking Android, but it's not stable yet.

Very stable. I unrooted and flashed back to stock. Very snappy and responsive. As it should be.

I just got mine yesterday - switching from an iPhone 6s and I couldn't be happier so far. It has a few lags here and there compared to the iPhone but so had the iPhone sometimes. It's certainly a decent phone I would recommend buying. Perfect size / weight / display / price.

Very stable. It's way more stable than my Note5.

My Nexus 5X is smooth as butter, I am also using Pure Nexus ROM which has many great features that stock is missing.

coming from the iPhone 6 I see maybe slightly more lag, impressed with android having not used it in years. The phone is nearly perfect in shape for me too, which is only second to security for me

Where exactly are you seeing this lag.

home screens / app launches / scrolling. It's a rare occurance, but even rarer on my iPhone. The scrolling stutter is mostly inapp(twitter is great, my banking app is horrific.) so I don't believe any scrolling stutter that I have seen were purely the fault of the OS.

Yea I think the specific apps and how they handle themselves it a poor representation of the phone as a whole. Also, do you have all the recent updates since they helped the performance since launch?

Yeah, all up to date and did a FDR once I was on the latest build before setting anything up. I think I may end up sticking with this over my iPhone, it seems there isn't much I haven't been able to do easier on android vs iOS

For me it's very stable. Nevar had any lag nor hiccups. But i'm not a heavy user, just whatspp, emails and some browsing. Tried android N preview and it's not for a daily driver.
