Is the note 4 done with software updates?

I don't know what carrier you're on, but there's a "safe upgrade" to LP 5.1.1 for Verizon Note 4's, (SM-910V), where you can try LP, and if you don't like it, you can Odin back to Kitkat. Developer hsbadr has posted THIS on XDA forum. (Somehow, I knew he was going to tackle this, and hopefully he'll also do one for Marshmallow). If you plan to try it, please read the entire post before doing so. If you have questions, ask them in that thread before proceeding. I'm just posting info here for people who are still on Kitkat, but want to try LP. I take no responsibility if you mess up your phone!

NOTE: This safe upgrade only applies to Verizon Note 4, SM-910V. Do not attempt this if you're on a different carrier.

I'm on Verizon myself, and while I won't flash LP, I still like that I have options! :)
Thank you so much for your trouble to post that. Unfortunately I am one of those people who doesn't and won't flash rooms and such! The most I will do is wipe cache partition... Haha!

Exact same sentiment here! :) I have a work supplied Note 4 that came with Lollipop along with my older personal Note 4 that came with and is still frozen on KitKat. I see no performance or battery life difference between the two of them, so I don't see any reason there to justify updating my personal Note 4. Not that I would anyway as I despise Lollipop's new notification system! It's a constant aggravation on my work Note 4 as detailed in my post here.
I remember back awhile that you and I are very much on the same page about Lollipop and non removable battery and SD card etc..... Loving our kit Kat Note 4's!

I saw that old post of yours awhile back. When LP first came out, my phone updated by itself. One of the (many) reasons I reverted was because of the carrier tag up at the top of the screen! What a pain... as if I don't already know I'm on Verizon!
