Re: Is it Still Waterproof if...
Rain outside you should be fine. You don't want to stand in a downpour.
The spen has the same rating.
The water resistant rating is for accidents, not for a waterproof phone. Every year that Samsung has a water resistant phone, people buy a new phone and dunk it in water and then get upset if water gets in and there is water damage and no warranty.
I really do get what you're saying but Samsung is deliberately misleading people by showing the phones underwater. If it has a water contact sensor that voids the warranty, then they should NOT be showing the phones underwater.
They should just list it as IP68 and state that it may be protected during ACCIDENTAL submersion or splashes.
I believe it's a false campaign. Sure, I know there are manuals and terms of agreement. There are even super tiny print on the commercials. Still, it's wrong of them to void the warranty if you use it as they advertise it.
This is like watching a lawnmower commercial, in which the mower is mowing grass, buying said mower, using it to cut grass, as was done in said commercial, then it breaks and they don't offer warranty service. No matter what the consumer responsibility is, it's a very middle finger campaign. Samsung I mean.
If you show your **** underwater, then you damn well better back it up with a proper warranty.
With that said, I'll be using mine in the shower. Which is probabaly a horrible idea as steam may be able to penetrate easier than full submersion?
Also, "****" is censored but "damn" isn't. Weird.
