Is the Note 7 USB C port a non-standard fit?

I have tried different adapters and cables, but yet to find a cable or adapter that fits flush like the cables that were in the Note 7 box. The others are all slightly tighter fit and leave about a centimeter gap. Would get the Samsung ones but see no option to order them.

The aftermarket cables and adapters fit flush in other USB C ports tested. Just not the Note 7.

I purchase this from B&H. The wall charger is larger then the one in the Note 7 box. The USB-C cable is the same though.

Works & charges perfect.

Thanks. Seems though Samsung is using a non standard port that is problematic with adapters and cables besides their own. Odd one out for fit compared to other devices is Samsung. The others "work" for charging, but not flush when plugged in and data function is problematic.

I agree. I also have the Verizon branded wall and car chargers. These work but the connections do see looser, not as tight of a fit as the OEM Samsung cables.

I ordered and am using cables from Aukey of two different types with Type C connections and they fit nice and snug.
