Is the screen really smudgy?

So, I have been reading some reviews of the P10 and the thing they all go on about is the lack of coating on the screen which makes it really smudgy and hard to keep clean.

Is this really that much of an issue? If it is, how have people got round it?

Get a nice tempered glass screen protector that has the oleophobic screen.

They did but I think they added that coating after reports lashed at them about it.
