is the SVC agent on Android malware/ spyware/ ransomware

[Android Central Question]

If I backup my device and perform a factory reset will that get rid of all the malware spyware ransomware and remote accessibility to my administrative functions of my device

I have also svc agent app on my mobile
It have permission to view call logs ...and see devices connected to wifi and ..more 4 options related to wifi


So that's why ....when I searched on google it shows it is a trojan to record calls ....I tried to remove it but no option of uninstall and disable
I am worried ...I did a factory reset still it is there ..... Will you plzz help ...and try to know the function of this app ....coz as u said it is a system app ...but ....on google it shows that it is used to record calls and leak wifi data

It's a Samsung system app. Every Samsung phone in my house has it.

That's why a factory reset doesn't change anything. SVC Agent is part of the OS.

Welcome to AC!
You wont be able to uninstall it , pretty much all Samsung have this installed, nothing to worry. Google searches can be your friend or enemy sometimes, for example if you search i have a pain in my shoulder it can list 100 different things it could be but you have to kinda say does those symptoms make sense for what im experiencing.You mde the right call to ask a Android community because you were getting mixed answers on a search so rest assured its nothing to be concerned about.

Welcome to Android Central! Be aware that all of the worrisome results you found on Google were in reference to a trojan called Trojan.Agent.SVC.Generic. This is different from the legitimate system app com.samsung.android.svcagent. So if you see the latter, then don't worry about it. It's not unusual for a system app to have many basic permissions -- after all, it's a system app.

When I researched an unknown phone number recently, thousands of people had reported it as belonging to scammers. It did not. It was, as I eventually discovered, a perfectly legitimate voicemail set-up number.

Much nonsense is to be found online.

They also have this svc agent on their phone
But only in my samsung a21s
It has permission allowed to phone
Other phones no permission allowed

First please proofread your replies because we're not sure if you are transposing words, adding words that aren't needed or if you're leaving out words.

You say that all of your friends have this then say "but only on my Samsung A21S..." What do you mean or what are you trying to say?

We've established that this is something that is on all Samsung mobile devices. It is a system app needed for the OS to run. Not sure what more we can tell you other than to not worry about it.

Now if you tell us that something is going on with your device, weird text messages, pop-up ads, settings changing or something else we can help you with those issues but you've told us nothing about why you think your device is hacked, has a virus or has malware. Please tell us what is happening and let's move past this thing that is not causing you any issues.

What do you need help with ? We went over everything in this thread with others .
Its preinstalled by Samsung , whatever permission is set is done by Samsung.

OP is saying that the app has permission for the Phone app on their phone, but not on other phones that they've seen.
@Manjit_002, the SVC Agent app on my Galaxy A32 5G has Phone permission as well. I think you're fine.

I have these problems!! Weird messages & calls I don't make all my maps history & most locations are not mine, i have apps being downloaded without asking or me doing it at all a TON of APK system files & apps I never installed although it says I have, Google search has searches for SOO much I don't do same with Chrome. I got a new phone & was happening there to. Can't control many apps or permissions. All my contacts being deleted I restore then next day some more are deleted. Needing password to call a person on an app yet idk the password. Being signed out of my Google accounts & i didn't do it. There is another device I see on some of my accounts in Google but nothing more than make & model. I'm almost 100% sure it's my husband who's now divorcing me but no way to prove who or what that actual connected device is. My frequent contacts are people idk looking up directions from point A to my home, days of data deleted, pin drops I did not do and more....I need help PLEASE I've tried everything to identify who but no ip address or concrete proof & I NEED it to stop this horrible torture! Was seeing downloaded stuff & visited sites then I told my husband because it was offensive material & it all stopped. Howwwwww do I see who or what is controlling all of this?!
