Is the TB really a 1ghz

Yeah buddy, that is why I replied the way I did. I read it, but honestly, I could have told you that without so. Again, I think you are referring to RAM/ROM/Drives. We are taking processors. I can post 100 threads with the same result. Here is one...MHz to GHz - GHz to MHz - OnlineConversion Forums do me a favor, read my links and see if that clears it up for you.

The point of my post was to clear up why some people were falsely thinking that 1024 MHz = 1 GHz.

And I'm not your buddy, pal. ;)

Looks like someone missed EE261 and needs to brush up on their binary number systems.

After all it's not like a 32GB storage space has ever literally been created.

It's true. CPU clock isn't strictly dependent on binary data systems, but in some applications it can be easier when rounded to binary clocks. Also it's important to understand that even though things are rounded in the world of hardware, it is no less accurate.

@willis I have used set CPU. I always get 1000000000 with my 1ghz moto chips. It may be a flaw in set cpu giving the fact that the conversion fits binary.

What part of PM me to continue this conversation didn't you understand?

I did not edit it from when you saw it first. You simply failed to read it.

Great idea please continue your debate as pm's or this thread will be closed. You have both made your points so lets move on please.
