Is the Ultra hump a turn off?

When I take one of my N20U cases that have a raised bezel around the camera - and I place my N10+ in it - I tried to write with it while laying "flat" on my desk and you know what - it doesn't seem to really wobble much. I mean, yes it does when you press down on the upper left part of the phone - but you are not writing down that hard to push the phone down like that.. and when you do - it's really just a small wobble that is definitely noticeable, but not really much of a nuisance.

The price we pay for thin phones. I never needed the phone to be this thin - but since I do case it up, the protrusion is going to be less noticeable for me.

Is anyone else reconsidering not getting the Ultra? Between the price, color (only black for 512), and hump, I feel like I'm compromising a lot. I have pre-ordered it but I'm going to need to see what it looks like in a case.

I've said elsewhere when I saw the S20 Ultra for the first time, the camera module on the S20U was offensively big.

That camera bump on the Note 20 Ultra is "prominent." But for some reason it doesn't irritate me as much as the one on the S20U.

Maybe it because it's a tad smaller module than on the S20U. Maybe because they framed it better and even added a bit of trim to it as well which repeats the rectangle shape of the phone. The rectangle shape of the module looks to be close to the same ratio of the l x w of the N20U making look pleasing.

I wish it didn't stick out as much... But I can live with it if the camera system 2.0 rocks.

I mean, if the camera is good enough I won't really mind it. That however, is yet to be seen. I also haven't seen it in person yet so I'm not sure how much it will bother me.

I'm more in line with what you are saying. If the camera works well, then I'll likely get used to it.

I had the same worries about the hole punch notch on my S10, yet I don't even notice it now. In fact, I've come to like it!

If I didn't use a case, the bump would definitely deter me from buying. But the phone will lay flat with a case. I plan on getting a Ghostek.

Probably but the s view looks completely flat on the back with the camera lenses inside the lip of the case. So they must offset that inside the case I'm assuming.

I have the sview in hand and it's flat on the inside back. The opening is no more than 2mm thick. I don't know how high the bump is but it looks thicker than 2 mm.

I think 2mm my be right. I went to Best Buy yesterday and was surprised at how small the hump looked in person. IMO the pics make it look huge!

The bump is ridiculous. The majority who use cases probably won't mind. I don't use cases, just skins for the grip, and no skin will solve the huge bump problem. I'm sticking with my Note9.

I don't see this phone as a no case type ..but if you plan that way I would get a screen protector and face that bad boy screen down ...

it only stands out because the phone is thinner. If was the the same thickness as the Note 10/10+ you wouldn't notice it.

I got a couple of cases so I don't think the bump will be an issue for me. It would be nice if I could slap on a skin instead of a case though without having to worry about the bump.

Good question. The hump was a major turn-off on the S20 Ultra for me. Aside from the ridiculous size of the phone as a whole. The camera hump was butt ugly and the phone itself had the worst color selection here in the US. Samsung got majorly trolled for the color options in particular. But they really dressed that camera hump as well as it possibly could on the Note20. I don't know if "nice" is the word, but it's actually kind nice!

If I had a choice I would go without the hump. I don't need all that extra crap with the camera. I've lived with it on the s20 ultra, I will live with it here.
