Android Central Question

I have unlocked Galaxy S9+/SM-G965U on Straighttalk/T-mobile sim. Mobile signal near 0 at home, switched just to use the wifi calling. All phone provisions/settings are there & on. Get mobile calls/sms/mms/internet (all very slow at home w/call drops). However, device still shows "IMS not registered"/wifi calling no worky. Been on the phone w/Straighttalk lots, even tried T-mobile, yah right. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Picking up a Tmobile used sim at their store tomorrow, after which I'll try the wipe/reset, TMB flash again.
Ok try that sim first , then do a flash, i don't like the xaa twice in front of att

Should be like my screen shot
Tmb tmb xaa or yours tmb tmb att

Ok... update. (Didn't get the Tmobile sim till today.) So, it worked... kinda. After flashing/reboot with the tmobile sim in, I now get TMB/TMB/ATT, in about phone>software info>service provider sw ver. And, of course, all wifi calling settings are there, including a new quick settings button/icon for w/wifi calling, and I'm 99.99% sure it would work if I had tmobile service. I even got a prompt I've never seen during boot up asking if I knew my device could make wifi calls. However, when I restart again with Straighttalk sim in, the phone changes to TMB/XAA/ATT, the quick settings icon disappears, and of course, wifi calling no worky. Any way to prevent the Straighttalk sim from doing this? Otherwise, I guess I gotta get me some T-Mobile? Spent 30 min on the ph trying to be patient with Straighttalk, to no avail. But, in her defense, I don't she was very skilled yet.

That's great
No that's the way straight talk sim is , don't get the carrier provisions only use the towers .

Update... So, flashing firmware with the T-Mobile sim in, by itself, was not enough to enable wifi calling. However, since I was now on TMB firmware, the phone began to download Android updates. After the 1st one, I shut it down & put the straighttalk sim back in just to have sevice. But the android updates kept coming. At first, I paused them because I thought I was still gonna have to wrestle with it. Then I figured, what th hey, let it update, just can't go backwards with bootloader version if I need to do any more flashing. At this point, I tried a trick I found, not entering my pin at boot, and forcing another reboot (or something). Anyway, when it got to the 1st version of Pie, & finished booting, there they all were, the wifi calling settings, the quick button, IMS registration, all there & working on straighttalk. I'm still gonna make the switch to Tmobile. No contract $25 connect w/5gig is a deal & $10 cheaper than straighttalk!
