is there a handwriting recognition input method??

If there isnt, there should be. I can draw an emotional and it converts it, but how about recognizing letters and words??? That's the perfect input method for a smart watch! Definitely bests a keyboard

There is no input method other than voice on AW. Google does not believe AW needs a keyboard. Period. All AW apps either take voice input or rely on phone app counter part to perform input.

There are some 3rd party wearable keyboard apps I believe. Not sure how useful is that if the apps are not looking for them.

That's why handwriting on the watch is such a good idea. The technology has been around for years

Until Google supports them in AW OS level, it's hard for app deves because each app needs to have its own input method and implementation, not shared with other apps.
