Is there a keyboard bug in the latest software update?

I am having a problem with the spacebar being on the numeric page which makes texting extremely cumbersome. This started after the latest software update to my Android Moto z. Uppercase is also missing.

very common. reinstall the default keyboard app. that worked for me.
don't delete the keyboard app!!!!

I'm having problems with the keyboard as well. It lost all my predictive text and it's autocorrecting correct words and screwing up everything else. It's a hot mess!!!
