Is there a Multi-Phone Use Strategy Available?

I have had several large smartphones and prefer the larger screens. I currently have a Galaxy S5. However, often, especially on weekends or evenings, I wish I could easily, simply, quickly, switch to a smaller phone (like a Palm Pixie). There are times when you just don't want the weight and size of the flagship phones. It would be great if there existed a strategy to enable such a feature. It might even spur sales of a whole new category of smartphones. Does anyone know if such a strategy exists or is in the works?

It's easy with GSM phones, because you can just swap the SIM cards. A lot of the Android Central writers do this, since they often have multiple devices that they're reviewing.

Of course, swapping the SIM card is an option but it isn't very convenient.
