Too bad they're not accessible for notifications.the sensor to the right of the earpiece that glows red when the screen goes off is the proximity sensor for moto display. If you look on the bottom there is two more that do the same thing.

Actually....the blinking green light above my Turbo 2 at moment begs to differ.... There is an LED, but it's not used for normal notifications unless phone is rooted. My phone is currently a brick from where new Marshmallow screwed it up and it will not charge properly. Just a heads up...do not upgrade to 6.0 yet....wait until they get the bugs worked out. I spent an hour at Verizon yesterday dealing with it only to be told my phone was fried and they are sending me a "like new" refurbished one. Not happy about this....

If the Turbo 2 is like every other high end Moto device since the Moto X, it should have an LED that lights when the battery charge is too low to actually turn the display on.
No. Moto Display is it's replacement.
I just got a Droid turbo 2 and I went to customize my messaging app and it asked for led color I searched for a few minutes and couldn't believe their isn't one all the money on r and d and they can't get this right?Well then I'm glad we have the option to change to color of non existent leds
The Turbo 2 does not have an LED. It uses Moto Display to show notifications.
Just coming here to tell you that there is ABSOLUTELY three total indicator lights on this phone. At the very bottom of the phone, I have seen two red lights, one in the left and right corner. I have also seen a green light appear in the upper area of the phone before. This is my 3rd Turbo 2 and I've actually disassembled my phone for a battery replacement so I don't think I'm crazy here...
