Is there a trick for SD card?

I've had my Acer C720 for about 6 months and never used the SD card slot. Last night I attempted to get pictures off my camera SD card but it never showed up in the file manager?

There shouldn't be any trick to use it, it should just start reading the card. Did you push the card in far enough?
