To make a station and ONLY hears songs from the ONE artist you made the station for??

Ex. All Pink Floyd only...?

Don't believe so. But with the station I use a lot, I get that artist every 2-4 songs, so I don't mind.

Yeah, I agree, I get the same but for some HIGH VOLUME artists I wouldn't mind if there was a way to just hear there songs only...

I'll deal with it... :)

You're not going to see this, ever.

By design, Pandora lets you pick an artist you like, and plays enough of that artist to (hopefully) keep you listening, while inserting other artists into the stream that are similar in one way or another.

Their business model is to charge record labels to expose artists to listeners who haven't heard them, but are likely to enjoy their music (based on various similarities). The labels hope you'll go out and buy stuff from the new artists you're exposed to.

A stream with only one artist = no revenue for Pandora. Isn't going to happen, unless they went to a pure subscription business plan.

Well the real problem is, they have to sell themselves off as a radio station, not an on-demand music service. This is also why you're not guaranteed to get the song you used as a seed right at the beginning. This is the ONLY way they can manage to keep the main service free.

Spotify, a common music streaming service in Europe, is suffering majorly because of this. They can't keep up their free business model due to allowing users to play whatever they like.

Well, they do have the premium service and all those visual and audio ads...that makes them some money too :p
