Is there a way to control the priority of apps loading on startup?

When I boot my Nexus there are applications that startup on boot and with Kitkat I could see a little icon in the top left hand corner of the screen when things were loaded. With Lollipop the boot up process seems to be taking longer and there is one app that seems to be taking a long time to load and I was wondering if there's a way to control the loading priority so that I can get this app loaded first so it's active faster? If so, can you explain how to set this up? Thanks!
