Hi WWJohnWayneDo!

If I dwnld that Messages app you suggested, to get those advanced features, will I loose all the text history from the previous app, or will those old texts still fall in line & show in the new app?? And will uninstalling the original messages app make a difference in that & if so should I wait to uninstall the original until aftr the new one is working?
Thx for your help! 😊

They should all show up in the new app. You can try another text app without removing the current one. You can set one or the other as the default app but use either of them.

For those of you who think a few second delay in delivery of a sent text is laughable, you have a limited knowledge of people and their special needs!

I, personally, find the feature which was present on my s5, and currently not on my s7, an absolutely essential feature! First, I suffer from chronic hand tremors and, unfortunately, I frequently and "involuntarily" hit the "SEND" button before I am ready to send my message/text! The delay feature on my s5 was a godsend and saved me much embarassment! It allowed me enough time to retrieve my text in order to complete/fix it. Secondly, because of the new "wrap-around" design of the s7...which I strongly DISLIKE....I have had a greater occurrence of involuntarily sending texts before I have completed them...much less had time to proofread them! I am certain I am not the only android user with this problem! It was presumptuous of you and Samsung to think it was/is useless filler! Finally, it really isn't any of your business as to why someone would like to have such a feature! Nor is it appropriate to mock someone for using It!

So, I hope this has helped to enlighten some of you who think a short delay in sending a text is a useless feature! ... and is used only by morons!

EXACTLY! That was a very useful feature.
And how do you like the responses that begin, "Not to be petty..." and then immediately are? Instead of being, idk, helpful?
What's with Android taking a perfectly useful feature, such as the "Send Delay," and deleting it? Could they maybe ask an actual user, instead the dweeb at the next desk, if it's useful?
