Is there a way to disable keyboard while typing?

I'm using the navigation gestures on my Note 10 and find myself accidentally hitting the back and home gestures by mistake when typing. Is there any way to just disable the navigation while I'm typing so there is no interference?

In the gesture settings you can turn off the back gesture on the keyboard but not the home gesture. I don't have my device on hand to grab a screenshot but the option is there.
