Is there a way to do lock screen widgets?

The only option I see is camera or a favorite apps list. If that's it, that's terrible. I would like to show widgets on my lock screen. Any help would be appreciated.

Really? That is only option? My g2 which I'm probably returning for this phone has a ton of default widget options.

Seems that way. Even the HTC one had its own annoying way of doinglife lock screen widgets but it at least let you do a few.
