Is there a way to enable 5ghz Wi-Fi?

I am not able to see any 5ghz Wi-Fi networks on my USA spec M3. Any way to enable it?

The only way to enable it is to flash it. The hardware is there but software prevents it from being available.

It has to do with FCC regulations. Now I could be wrong because I'm based in Canada and that is why it is disabled up here.

That's pretty crazy. Maybe they need to tweak it to meet FCC regulations. Oh well.

I couldn't agree more. There are flashes around for it but then it creates other issues. It can be done but it's a lot of work apparently. The flash will shut other things down which will need to be restored.

Not really looking to flash just to get 5ghz wifi. Hopefully someone will find a way to do it without requiring flashing.
