Not to my knowledge but if your syncing to your Samsung account, it does stay up to date. I've had data syncing for 3 phones now ( s5, s6e, gn5)

Yep there sure is

Go to developer.samsung.com/health and download the Samsung Digital Health SDK

Extract the files and read the ProgrammingGuide_SHealthService.pdf to find out how to put S Health into "Developer Mode"

From the Healthdata / tools install the DataViewer-1.2.0.apk to get the dataviewing app which can export to CSV.

Once its all set up I had to reboot phone ( G Note 4 ) and all exports fine :)

Thank-you for posting this! I am having trouble figuring out what exactly I am supposed to do though. I think I am making assumptions that are incorrect. I downloaded Samsung Digital Health SDK to my PC. I tried to download it to my phone, but this doesn't seem possible. It will not open the file. When I try to install the DataViewer-1.2.0.apk on my PC it asks what program to use to do this? I don't have a clue? What exactly am I supposed to do? Am I supposed to somehow download the SDK to my phone? I am totally frustrated. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't see a reply and wondering if you figured it out already or if you still needed help.

Many Thanks for this info.

PS. I like the way you enable the development mode ;)

Cheers,

You need to install dataviewer.apk to your phone and not your computer. Make sure your turn on the developer mode in S Heath.
Go to S Health-more settings-about S health. Right above "check for updates" tap 10 times on the version. If it works then it will turn to developer
mode.
Go to your web browser on your phone and go to developer samsung com/health and download. You will need to extract the zip file once downloaded find the dataviewer.apk and install it. Reboot your phone.

Read the programming guide because your need to turn on the permission to sync the data between the dataviewer and S Health for each item you want to view.

To Export the data, go to the main screen of dataviewer and on more is where you export the data. Once you export the data, you need to use a file manager like file commander to find the file and email it to yourself. It should be under the healthdata folder. It is located under storage/emulated/o/Shealth/com.samsung.health.bloodpressure.201601310420.csv for example

Does the S Health app drain the battery?

Hello s1ckb0g13!

My S Health did an automatic update and erased all my data from two months of workout. I preformed a sync with my Samsung Account which didn't work. Apparently it went one-way, instead of SYNCING [damn you, Samsung!], and now my Samsung Account has my new data (i.e. data only since that update erased my numbers).

I'm quite skilled in programming and I'm trying to follow your instructions above, but I think that since you post this a while ago, things may have change in that link you provided. Can't download de SDK in my phone. Can you please check if these steps are up to date, so I can do this? I wouldn't ask if I hadn't literally researched everywhere and tried all the options provided in numerous forums. I'm even trying to get into my phone's root and trying to see where the S Health stores its DB and see if I can recover some of the data from earlier phone backups.

Thanks for any help you can provide. :)

You have to download the files to your phone and extract them after you put your phone in developers mode. Check out my previous post on the web site. Use a file manager on your phone to find the apk file. Once you install it, then reboot your phone.
Open the data viewer and add it to S Health as a tile.
I believe the data extracted is located in Shealth folder. You might want to hook your phone to your desktop so you can see the files in file mamager.
Main point is to download the files to you phone so you can install the dataviewer.apk in your phone.

Hey,
I did what was said, everything worked excellent, but the problem is that the data I can import from the step counter is only for the month - but heart-rate and other data are from a longer time table. The S health app itself shows the data starting from September (step counter and everything) any idea why I can only export data from the last month?

then maybe your are the person to tell me how to get the bleeping data to restore. I know it's there, I've even SEEN it for a second, but it won't restore to my phone! To say samsung is useless would be a compliment.

The data is saved in the shealth folder on your device
Copy the selected files to your pc and open them with e.g. Excel.
from there you can create nice reports and graphs

Hello,
We follow the below procedure.
1.Create One EnableDataImporter.txt file in Myfile->Device Storage->Download folder
2.Shealth->setting->About Shealth->Export data->Select Files->Save
3.Go to My files->Device Storage->Shealth->Export data->Check your Data
Thanks

This method only goes back 2 months worth of data instead of getting from the beginning. Will have to code my own solution using the SDK!
