Is there a way to listen to audio from the internet while doing something else on the phone?

I am trying to listen to a live news station from the internet. When I press play on the station website the phone gives me options for what app to use (video player, PlayerPro (which does not work), and photos (???)).

I choose video player, and it works, but when I go to another app, like say Chrome, or lock the phone, the audio stops. Is there any way to play the audio while doing something else on the phone??

Have you tried an internet radio app like TuneIn Radio to see if that station is available that way? It might be a better solution for you.
