is there a way to lock the galaxy s5 when in call?

Wondering if anyone can help me out here.

I'm new to the galaxy phones, I would like to be able to lock my screen properly when on call so I can place my phone in my pocket. I'm using a bluetooth headset.

No, it just makes the screen go black. Not actually locking it.

So putting it up to your face and removing it will wake the screen again?
If you put it in your pocket, the proximity sensor is supposed to keep the screen off. Have you tried it?

yes it keeps the phone screen off but would like to be able to lock it. I guess I can't. Thanks anyways!

That would have the same effect as locking it
As long as it doesn't wake the screen in your pocket and hangs up calls or anything it should be fine.
