Hi All,

I have this question that I couldn't find an answer for!!!

Is there a way to prevent or disable using the shortcut settings from the lock screen???

Let's say that I lost my phone somewhere and somebody finds it.
This person could easily turn the screen on, flop the screen down twice, use the short cut settings to turn off the Cellular data, preventing me from finding my phone using the device manager on the web.

Isn't this a security issue???

I am using LG Nexus 5, Android 5.0.1.

I'm unable to turn off my cell data from the shortcuts on the lock screen. I am able to toggle WiFi on and off, but not cell data. Tapping on the cell data icon just tells me how much data I've used. If I click on More Settings, I am required to unlock with my PIN.

Of course, if I were to steal a phone, the first thing I'd do is pop out the SIM card. Cell data disabled (at least for GSM networks - not sure about Sprint).

Yes if you press more settings this happens but on top at your right there is an off/on toggle button...
