is there a way to put the screen to sleep without pressing power button?

Hi guys, just got the moto x 2014. How to sleep the screen without pressing power button. In that case the power button, which BTW is kind of fragile, will be free. Any virtual button we can set?

You can install an app like Screen Off and Lock and that will do what you want. Just put the app shortcut on one of your home screens and you're good to go. What I do is run Nova Launcher Prime and set the swipe up action to launch the app. That way all I have to do is swipe up on any of my home screens and it turns off my phone screen. Works great.

I also use Screen Off and Lock, and it works great. I added it to my Power Toggles widget, so whenever I want to turn the screen off I just touch the toggle. If you use Nova, though, thunderup's suggestion is the way to go.

Screen off and lock is great
I have it integrated with Nova launcher

Meaning, you don't have to have the app icon on the home screen. I tap an empty space on my home screen and my screen goes off.
