is there a way to ruin a cd/dvd without visible proof? My ex roommate has a super embarrassing video that I would really like to ruin but leave no visible evidence. I don't think its illegal for that reason but please correct me if I'm wrong, otherwise help!!!

It depends on the definition of wrong. (1) Does the video has anything to do with you? (2) Why do you find it so offensive / embarrassing? (3) Could this video falsely or unjustified injury to your reputation? If you answer yes, to all three questions - then you could take legal action against this person. I would recommend doing so rather than destroying someone's property.

Well, it's an animated video my mom had professionally made for me when I was a kid, one copy of which she obviously gave to my ex roommate who would love to show other people and I don't want that. I just want to make it unreadable so when he pops it in the DVD player to show everyone, it doesn't work and I would just flash him a revengeful smile >:-D I don't want to go as far as legal stuff. It's just embarrassing material and friends messing with each other
