Is there a way to subdivide/organize Videos folder on the screen?

Note: I came back to this forum to ask this question, but there appeared to be no login box anymore, so I posted this first in general questions and got no answer. I finally had to do some digging through my profile, via saved threads that I posted before, to find a login. Now I'm posting this here, but don't know how to delete the other one:

As things are now, this phone finds all videos on the SD card and throws them as one big mess, into the Videos icon ( folder? ). But I want to have a videos folder for my pet parrots, for example, and one for my martial arts training videos. Can this be done on this phone?

Is that a browser for your desktop/laptop, or a mobile browser for your phone?

When I mentioned the hamburger menu at the upper left, I meant at the upper left of the webpage, not the browser itself. Make sure you've scrolled all the way up on the Android Central forums page, and if you're not logged in, click on the hamburger menu at the upper left.

That's not a major issue to me right now. I need to find out about the folder question.

That being said, I see no way to log in or out, on the page right now.
...
Oh wait, you were calling it a hamburger, but it looked like a person to me, with a body and a head on top. I found it now, thanks. They just hid it pretty well. :)

Oh yes, I realize that. I hesitated to answer your main question, because I don't have an S5, although my wife has a Note5. I assume that the Gallery apps are similar, if not the same, so I just tested it out. On the Note5 Gallery app, if you tap the dropdown menu at the upper left (which defaults to sorting photos by Time) and then select Album, you'll see the current albums displayed. You can then tap More>Create Album to make a new album, and then select what photos or videos to put in that new album.

However, I can't find any way to display only the videos when selecting which items to place in the new album. It will show you your entire camera roll, and you'll have to look for the videos in there.

My problem is that, looking at the phone from Airdroid, with my PC ( the SD card side ) , I can make any folders I please, like Martial Arts, Birds, Scenery, etc., and drop photos and/or videos into them. But THEN on the phone screen side, it appears to take ALL photos/videos that it finds anywhere, and plops them all in Gallery or Videos together.

Hm, it's strange you're able to create folders and drag your items to said folders via your desktop but still show up in one folder in your phone's gallery. As mentioned above, you can create folders within the gallery app.

Or you can do it through the My Files app. Navigate to your where you have your images saved, and start creating folders here. I find this method easier since not only are you able to sort your files by type, when creating folders in My Files, you are also able to designate where your folder is saved (internal or external storage) - through the gallery app it defaults to internal storage.

EDIT: in the gallery app, in the top left corner of the screen, does it read TIME or ALBUM? If it's Time, you can click this and change the way the gallery is displayed. I have mine currently set to Album.

Oh wait, I just figured it out. I was trying to create folders but didn't see the "Done" thing on top and kept losing them. I just managed to create one and drag some photos into it. Now I just have to figure out how to rename it, as I typed it wrong, but don't see a way.

But there's still no way to create folders within the Video screen icon folder?

You are able to create sub folders via My Files app but (from what I can tell running on my phone kitkat) the gallery app does not recognize additional folders within an album - it only displays the root images/videos.

You can rename your folders in My Files and the changes will reflect in the gallery.

Actually, I think the videos may all show up in Gallery anyway, so the Videos folder may be redundant?

Yes. You could just get rid of the "Videos" folder and break it up into separate categories. Just be sure to make new folders and move the videos from the "Videos" folder prior to deleting it!
