Is there a way to take portrait/cinematic videos on the Pixel 6 Pro?

I love this phone's camera so much every time I look at other cameras I realize how good the Pixel's post processing is. One thing I wish I could do though is to be able to take portrait/cinematic videos like the iPhone 13 Pro/VIVO x80 Pro/S22 Ultra

I tried Open Camera as someone suggested to turn on AF Lock but I could never figure out how to do it. I then tried a paid app called Protake Pro but it couldn't do it as well.

Any suggestions? Do you think this feature could ever come to our Pixel 6 Pro in a feature drop or is it a hardware limitation?

Also, other than those 3 phones I mentioned, is there any other smartphone nowadays that has this feature?

The reason I ask is because I didn't like iOS when I had my iPhone 13 Pro and its battery life was horrendous despite all the reviews that claim that it's the best. I don't like Samsung because of Bixby and the fact the you get double apps for everything on Android like Samsung Browser, Samsung Notes, etc and finally, I was so set on getting the Vivo x80 Pro but I just read on Reddit that it has Avast Security built in and cannot be disabled or uninstalled and is a major nuisance letalone the overheating issues.

No, there's no portrait mode for videos. It's one of the things Apple touts -- iPhones have always been stronger when it comes to video, but I think Pixels surpassed iPhones in terms of photo quality a while ago.

I would imagine that Google could use computational photography to add portrait video to Pixel phones, but I don't really see it as a big priority for them. But it's worth sending feedback to Google to suggest it!

Sony Xperia can do portrait video. It is based on pure photography skills and no dependency on computational photography. If you are in to it, you will enjoy it.

Thanks for the input -- I'm curious what you mean by "pure photography skills"? Do you mean that it's based on the lenses that the phone has? Or does it depend on the user's knowledge on how to shoot the subject to achieve proper depth of field?

I meant manual controls. With sony we have to work with fps, shutter speed manual zoom range etc to get the output we want. There is no AI involved. I have Xperia 1 iii as my back up device and my main camera is Sony A7C. Am very comfortable with Sony interface for videos and photos as they are similar but am not much in to videos.
