Is there a way to unblock/unblacklist/unlock a HTC Desire 526

I purchased a brand new HTC Desire 526 from a coworker that had never been activated but when i went to activate it i was told that it was blocked/blacklisted/locked....is there any way to fix this issue so im not out the $100 i paid for it?

You were sold a possible stollen phone and I don't think it can be unlocked unless you have the original receipt for the phone

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you don't want to do something illegal.

The solution is to return the phone to your co worker for a full refund.

The second option is to contact the carrier to see why it was blacklisted. If you pay off the etf and /or whatever money is owed on the line then the carrier will lift the blacklist.

For now I will lock this as there is really no other legal option, and leaving it open can create a door for discussion of illegal activities, which we don't allow here
