Is there an app that's somewhat similar to Audacity?

This is a USB Android recorder. I'm hopeful that it will allow me to record on the fly. http://phandroid.com/2012/12/21/usb-audio-recording-android/

Then the follow up issue becomes being able to do basic editing. https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...le&feature=more_from_developer&token=viryQ7Jy

What sucks is I then still need to convert to mp3 for uploading
And once again, this method is not going to work on an Opti S. The Audio Evolution app that you link requires an HDPI device; the Opti S is MDPI.

I never went looking for Audacity functionality, but there are a few multitrack recording apps that have been arpund for a longer time than our phone. They work fine for demoing or for creative, lo-fi recording. They are very noisy if you don't record using a headset (for isolation). Open the play store and search for this exactly:

"4track"

and up will pop a list of several free and paid multitrack recording apps that will run on our phone.

Sorry that I missed this post until it was a year stale :)

I'm replying in hopes that this will help folks out from now on.

Cheers!

I was looking for an app to slice apart mp3 into different parts for ringtones. Not really wanting to pull out the whole pc just to slice something apart.
