Is there an "image" type backup alternative to Droid X Bootstrap Recovery?

Hey all,

I am one of the unlucky ones who cannot get DX Bootstrap Recovery to work on my phone. Did the research and apparently for selet few, there's not much that can be done.

Is there an alternative to that to make full image type backups?

Basically I am using Ti Pro backup but it still requires a fair amount of set-up to get phone back to where I want it.

If that's my only choice as it stands, then I am reluctant to experiment with different rom's but I would like to option to so I can get the most out of my phone without the fear of a PITA rebuild.

Thanks!

Justin

What issues are you having with Bootstrapped? This app make thing so easy to use without issues, as far as I know there isn't any other image type apps because it is the best to use, this is why even developers usually integrate into Bootstrap to backup a device automatically before loading there roms.

Care to share the issue you have been having.

Here is the thread I started trying to get DXBR to work. Two backups and two restore failures. Apparently I am in the minority here but not alone. Found another forums with at length discussion. Link below goes to that thread on these forums (I think).

So moto works but fails to flash your backups? Did you rename the backups? If so make sure the names don't have any spaces or they will fail.

No I did not rename the files at all.

This may sound clear but I know some that didn't, have you clicked the top button that says Bootup Recovery and allowed it you verified it loaded and then clicked the boot recovery before you booted into recovery..

Yes indeed, I did make sure to get the "all clear" from the top button before using lower button to reboot into recovery (green text) mode.
