Is there an issue syncing Gallery Photos to Google+?

Hello,

As I've always done, I take a pic w/the S3 (Verizon) phone and when phone would sync, I'd see the photos in the Google + photos section. The only difference w/the two pics I want to auto upload is they're both in the "Download" folder, not pics I've actually taken w/the phone, but pics texted to me. Is that the difference and do I need to manually upload them to G+? Thanks all.

Welcome to Android Central! G+ Auto Backup is only for pictures that you take, not for pictures you download. You'll have to manually upload those to your G+ Photo Albums.
