Since the V30 has built in wireless charging, what wireless charger do V30 owners use?

I second this question and related, the Starbucks wireless charging powermats work great!

Any Qi charging mat should work. I'm using a nokia mat from an old nokia phone. In fact I've used the same wireless charger for the past 5 phones (Lumia 920, Galaxy S5, Droid Turbo, S7 Edge & V30). I love a standard that doesn't need to be replaced every year or two.

I use an old Belkin wireless charging pad and it works great.

I know there are many options out there, but what bugs me is why LG has built wireless charging into the V30 but does not produce its own charger, forcing it's users to use third party ones. It's not that hard to build a wireless charger when you can build a phone.

I suppose LG could make one and charge an arm and a leg like Samsung does.

I bought a Samsung wireless charging pad new.on Amazon for.around 30.bucks. not the fast charge one.

I Iike the Belkin better. It's wider and flatter. They both work.great what's the big deal. Just get a Belkin.

They did for the G3, but sold it to very limited markets. LG is terrible at supporting their phones with accessories so don't ever expect anything from them, but disappointment if you want more than just the phone. 🤣

When you can buy a generic Qi pad for under $10 (and mine is still working 4 years later), they probably figure that they'll make more money by putting the effort into phones, not charging pads.

^^This

BTW does anyone know QI charging pads that support fast charge? Is that even possible with the V30?

Check out this thread if you want to make use of fast wireless charging, very few pads support the new standard in the V30:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/help/successful-fast-wireless-charging-t3687478

After reading that thread, I went with the omars 15w:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077PQT5M3/?tag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU6154079
(Requires a quick charge 3.0 plug).

It reports "fast wireless charging" (or whatever, I forget the exact phrase).

Is the plug that comes with the V30 a quick charge 3.0 one?

Hi,

Looking for a Wireless Charger and my girlfriend already uses this for her S8:

https://www.mobilefun.co.uk/official-samsung-galaxy-wireless-fast-charger-convertible-black-63094

I have tried it and it charges my phone but I was worried about long term damage to my battery if it is not fully compatible, watched MrMobile do a review on charges including the above Samsung and he says that he uses in the office as his standard Qi charger, but didnt specify definitively if it is compatible... does anyone know?
