Android Central Question

Is there any latest malware which can record screen just by visiting a website..?
Phone does not have any application installed expect for 2 authentic apps.

Please help

Welcome to Android Central! Why do you ask? Is there some reason you think something recorded your screen? Have you been installing apps from shady sources, or have you been visiting shady websites? I ask this because that's the best way to get malware installed on your device. If you haven't been doing that, then the chance of having malware on your device is extremely low.

Hi, welcome!

I received your PM, so I'll answer you here.

Yes it depends where you download these APK

Sorry i did not put the question in right way..I have not downloaded any APK.

My questions are:

1. Does visiting a website download malware automatically on Android 9. Download from unknown source is not allowed ( i.e disabled ) and none of the security settings are changed.
2. Does Malware only come in form of apps ( apk files ).
3. Is there a malware that gets downloaded just by visiting a website and records entire screen. No apk files were installed

Please help!!

1. No.

2. Yes, but how you get that app can happen a few different ways. The most common is spam email or pop-ups trying to claim you are infected and only their super special anti-malware app can fix it. They scare you into downloading said app, which holds the real malware. Allowing others to have physical access to your device is another possible way to be infected with a direct attack. There are the occasional no-click attack vulnerabilities that popup, but those are few and far between, often involve a targeted attack against you, and are quickly patched with security updates.

3. No.
