Is there any update on 4.3 for the S3?

Try to remember that the date of the 6th was not an official announcement from either Sprint or Samsung. It was a rumor published on a blog. Hardly the stuff to hang one's hopes on. It'll come when Sprint deems it ready, and none of you will suffer waiting for it. More likely, those of you who update ASAP will suffer from bugs that Sprint didn't catch in testing.

I think these update goin be another month till it come out but whoknow wen it ota come out I been checking no firmware yet it supposed come out nov 06 13 but I guess I'm gave up checking but ill believe it when I see it

Given that 4.2 was skipped and that the 4.3 would be the second update, what are the thoughts that the S3 will now be considered end of life as far as official updates?

Why do you think we're now getting 4.3? They worked on 4.2 and when 4.3, they skipped 4.2 and went to 4.3

I think we should first worry about getting the 4.3 update lol

What I was trying to determine is this:

We started with 4.1, 4.2 was being worked on, but ultimately it was skipped. 4.3 is eventually coming. Is it likely that the S3 will see 4.4?

The 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.2, and 4.3 are just incremental releases of jellybean right? 4.4 would be the first major update for the S3 (if it's made available).

A little punctuation would be nice...trying to read this gives me a headache.

Who says "Sprint was supposed to release on Nov 6"? Sprint never said that. Samsung never said that. Some blogger said it, and you take it as fact. Not only do you need to learn to punctuate, you need to learn to analyze what you read.

You must be worried about it too. You keep running through this post and commenting on peoples post....just saying!

My beef is that there is so much silence about this update it makes one think that sprint doesn't care to have people work on verifying the update because they want to sell new phones to people or there is that big of a communication break that the high ups are thinking new profit and not sustained customers (look at the iPhone gamble that isn't working). We use to get at least a projected quarter for update which for the most part was really nice to at least see they have a goal they want to meet. Most people keep phones longer than a year or the 2 year contract. The economy isn't like it was and no one really get a new phone yearly anymore....My next phone is the nexus again so i can cut out carrier/manufacture bloatware and BS. Either way it will come when its ready and i do care about getting the update because its only a year old phone, but i am definitely switching back to a nexus device...

I'll admit I was hoping that Sprint would of rolled out 4.3 by now. Reason being, Sprint was the first to update the GS3 with Jellybean in late October of last year. I'm still hoping we'll see it within the next week and a half, but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't happen until December.

Say what you want about Sprint's other issues. But I've been very satisfied with the speed in which they roll out updates. Mush faster than At&t, Verizon, even TMO.
