Is there any update on 4.3 for the S3?

Is it official though? It's Samsung UK that made the statement, does that have any bearing on US roll out? The Radios are different in the international and US models, not to mention I think RAM is different too, so potentially it could be issues with the international more than the US versions. I get that Sprint has changed the software numbers, so obviously there have been issues, but could it be rolled out still by Sprint before they fix issues internationally?

You're right. ... that's what I've been saying. All this ''news'' is just British news and has no bearing on US carriers and the release.

If you pay close attention to what you read, you might notice the statement about it being suspended came from Samsung UK, which means it applies to the international. version. The US version is a totally different phone, supported by carriers, not directly by Samsung.

Pick a link, ANY link and tell me where it says the U.S. updates will roll out as expected. im sure you could provide a link saying it will but my POINT IS YOU DONT KNOW WHAT I READ. next time dont assume, you know what happens when you do

You are right, the links you provided don't say anything about US roll outs happening as expected. But all three reference Samsung UK. Why does Samsung owe you an explanation on something for which Sprint controls the release on its phones?

So far T-Mobile Non-LTE and AT&T have it out. Hopefully Sprint has it ready soon. Although I'm usually way down on the list, so I end up sideloading the zip file. Hopefully someone will link the zip if it shows up on XDA for me. :D

Someone got rid of my comment :( It wasn't even insulting, offensive, degrading, etc to anyone...

Also didn't someone post a screenshot of their conversation with the Sprint reps saying that it would come out next week (now it's the current week because I saw it a week ago) on this thread? I wonder if they are actually going to release it this week.

That would be pretty handy if they did because I would like to have an official 4.3 on my phone. Plus it'll be something new I can play with

Also one thing I didn't get is that Samsung only sold 800K smart watches to date so far. Wouldn't they sell A LOT more if the GS3 and the other older devices getting Galaxy Gear compatibility had 4.3 already before selling the smart watch?

Just saying.

No, I don't know what you read. I do know that the only official statement from Samsung was, and still is, from their UK office, and referred only to the International edition of the phone. And I was responding to someone who linked a statement regarding the UK delay and assuming that meant the US release was suspended, too. So chill. I wasn't even talking to you.

Samsung suspends Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 rollout to investigate 'issues' | Android Central Now I can stop checking this like 500 times a day. At least I know it is officially on hold.

When I read this, I was extremely drugged up from having strep and allergic reactions to the medication and totally missed that this was for the UK only. I am hopefull for Sprint to release this soon. I think this has got to be one of the first times ever that Sprint is behind everyone else to release an update. They are usually always first and on the ball, but glad they are taking the time to get things fixed and working prior to an update, the AT&T folks seem pretty upset with all the problems they are having from the update, but of course loving all the goodness of it.

So with MK3 kernel source dropping last night and then now MK5 has dropped i wonder what is going on or if this means by next week we will have it rolling out...

Done with you. So done. Move on, some people have lives to live. If you're not talking about the update, your comment is irrelevant. Debating with you is futile. Bottom line is I read what I read-you read what you read, i don't have to, and won't chill. Move on guy
