that I could buy a Galaxy S III that is less than Verizon's 599.00 price?

I don't want to give up my unlimited plan, and I was told at a Verizon store that a pre-order wouldn't save my unlimited.

After calling tech support, I hear that I could have upgraded(on a pre-order), prior to June 28th, and not lost my unlimited. Go figure.

Why don't you hear the same in the store as you do on the phone?

I have been fed inaccurate information by verizon reps multiple times. Key is to get it in writing. Anyway, too late now, but you can try to explain your story to an exec, being as specific as possible as to who you talked to and when. No guarantees of course, but imo, worth a shot.

because the store is retail job is to try and upsell you.tried to talk me into buying case after i put down 599.99 649.99 after tax on 16gig gs3 went at it for little over five minutes.. saddly only way now to keep unlimited is full price direct or wait for someone to sale ebay or craigslist
