Is there away to take a Verizon 4G LG G Pad 8.3 and convert it to a Google Play version

Hello,

I have a LG G Pad 8.3 (LG VK810 4G Verizon) running Android 4.4.2 build 22B (software version VK81022B) that I do not have a Sim in (or plan on getting one). It will not update the software (via WiFi) and I was wondering if there is a way to install the Google play version of the software.
