question about extended storage

are there something could extend storage and battery life on Galaxy S6? I don’t think cloud is secure.

Re: question about extended storage

The cloud is as secure as the internet, if you use one of the known cloud accounts - Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.

As far as the S6, no. You can't "Extend" the storage - what you have is all you get.

You can "extend" the battery with a power bank or a solar charger.

(Those two things - non-removable battery and no SD card - are the reasons I wouldn't buy an S6, since they and an Ottebox Defender [which is available for the S6] are mandatory for any phone I own.).

Re: question about extended storage

Which storage level? 64GB should be more than enough for most. Store what you don't need or haven't accessed in years externally and not become a digital packrat with 7k pictures and 12k songs. It is supposed to be MOBILE and it's just a PHONE.

Re: question about extended storage

Have faith in the cloud. It is more secure than storing your data locally.

What then will you do if ALL companies decide to stop making phones with SD Cards and removable batteries? :(

I guess there's always MagickJack, Vonage, or OOma...or even POTS...(plain old telephone service) which is still available by the way!

Re: question about extended storage

Will not trust cloud, they coward at first instant of a governmental request.

Re: question about extended storage

Speaking of cloud, is it true S6 buyers will get 100GB of OneDrive free space? And how is that cloud service relative to others like, say, Dropbox or Drive?

Re: question about extended storage

Maybe it's not possible, but I'd really like to see a case with some kind of built in storage and battery pack.

Someone recommended these in another thread (sorry!), so you don't need an otg.

BTW - regarding cloud security:

It's not that I have anything to hide, but misinformation, apportioning data incorrectly, incompetence, cover ups, but saving and licking is rife, and we have no control over what some people can do intentionally or unintentionally with our information.

That said I do sleep well at night, and all the people that tell you I can be paranoid are just out to get me, and there will be lots of them!:p
