You could try various 3rd party messaging apps like WhatsApp, but many times the recipient has to be using the same app. If you just want to send a message via the typical SMS app, then your best bet is to upload the video to a cloud service like YouTube, DropBox, or your Google+ Photos, and privately share the link with the recipient. That's essentially what happens if you send a video using Hangouts, and it's the same general principle for Apple's iMessage.
